I'm pretty proud of these, they're my first shoe set. It's just a plain little white pair of shoes from rite aid that I used markers to illustrate scenes from Miyazaki's "My Neighbor Totoro." I'm a huge Studio Ghibli fan.
These took about 2 hours and sadly are not water proof.

NO WAY! That is awesome!!! I love it!
They have water-proof sealant you can put on leather shoes. I'd imagine there's some sort of alternative you could use. Perhaps workable fixative or a Matte Cote? Just something (anything) that'll hopefully protect the outside a little better from water.
